Overview
Spatial Topology is a Taipei company building indoor positioning and mapping software for parking facilities, hospitals, malls, and airports. As their Product Manager and UI/UX Designer, I rebuilt the company's corporate website solo — from audit through design, implementation, and six months of post-launch iteration.
Refreshed homepage, September 2025.
Challenge
The existing site was outdated, slow, and mobile-broken. Load time sat at 4.4 seconds, the mobile breakpoint barely worked, and new products launched by the company were buried three clicks deep. Sales treated the site as a first-touch credential, so performance and navigation problems were directly gating pipeline.
Approach
- Audited the existing site for performance, accessibility, and IA issues before proposing a rebuild.
- Restructured the information architecture with Relume, introducing dedicated Case Studies and Solutions pages to surface new products closer to the entry point.
- Designed in Figma and shipped the front end solo in Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui, backed by Sanity CMS so the marketing team could update content without engineering time.
- Made every design decision end-to-end — typography, motion, component system, responsive breakpoints, dark mode.
- Instrumented Google Analytics and iterated over six months post-launch against engagement and search metrics.

Before and after, rendered as full-page scrolls.
Results
- Lighthouse 43 → 96 (Performance); Best Practices 56 → 100, Accessibility 80 → 90, SEO 85 → 92.
- Load time dropped from 4.4 seconds to 1.3 seconds — 70% faster.
- +250% organic search clicks (42 → 151) and average search ranking improved from 7.44 to 6.67.
- +138% engagement time per active user and +110% per session in the six months after launch.
- Refreshed product presentation and optimised user flows drove a +30% lift in client conversion rate.
